Summer is coming!!!

Only 11 days of school left and the weather is starting to feel like summer. This past week started out in the 80s.  On Wednesday, I got a text from Mom that said the pool water was 78 degrees.  The boys raced to put their suits on after school and couldn't wait to jump in the water.  They had a blast!  Looking forward to spending the end of this week in the pool as well, since it's supposed to get into the 90s!

This weekend we put a window in the living room wall. Ok, ok, Mom, Jim put the window in, but I helped a little!  We will be able to put a big air conditioner in the window to cool most of the house in the summer.  It looks great and lets a lot of light into the living room!

It still needs trim on the inside and outside and a curtain, but I love it!  I am so blessed to have a husband that knows how to do everything! I can't imagine having to hire someone to do all of the house projects we Jim has done!

The boys started their "Countdown to the Beach" sticker chart.  Only 17 more days!!!

I had my 15 week doctor appointment this afternoon. The baby was still too little to be able to hear the heartbeat on the doppler so I got another ultrasound to see the heartbeat.  The doctor said I everything looks great!  Thankfully she gave me the ok to start taking Zyrtec for my allergies too! 

How far along? 15 weeks
Maternity clothes?  No turning back now :)

Sleep: starting to get uncomfortable...definitely need those extra pillows!

Best moment this week:  Getting the window in the living room! 

Miss Anything?  Definitely my allergy meds this past week…allergies have been HORRIBLE! 
Movement:  I think I felt a few little movements, but it still may be a little too early.

Food cravings: I wouldn't call it a craving, but I have been hungry for ice cream lately…or milkshakes!

Anything making you queasy or sick:  still have trouble brushing my teeth.  The nausea has slowed down a lot though!
Gender:  Only 5 more weeks until we know for sure!!
Labor Signs: Hopefully not for a while!

 Symptoms:  Getting a bigger belly, some backaches, a little nausea

Looking forward to: Celebrating my birthday with the family this weekend! Mommom is getting CLAMS!!!!

Time Flies!

Is it summer yet?  We started last weekend looking forward to no plans for the week except for one baseball game and by Monday our calendar somehow filled itself up for the week :)

Last Thursday I had Ladies Night Out with all the Kolb girls...minus a couple (we missed you Manda and Cay!)  We had a great time....and lots of fun being silly in the photo booth!

Friday night we were invited to tour my grandparent's old farmhouse.  The farm was sold and developed and the couple who bought the farmhouse completely restored it.  It was beautiful, but just not the same as when we were growing up.  The boys had a great time running around the yard with some kids Eric knew from school that lived in the neighborhood.

Our weekend consisted of yard work...we finally got new wood chips for the playground, some flowers planted and the garden finished!  One more house project to go and a little more outside cleaning and we can take a break for vacations before starting the boys' room and nursery!

Tuesday was voting day for the primary election.  Dad was running for his second term as township supervisor so of course I had to make the boys tee shirts. No big surprise, HE WON!!!

Last but not least.....the pregnancy update!  This week I met someone that is due the week after me.  I thought I was big but my belly is tiny compared to hers!  Made me feel a little better :)

Maternity clothes?  No turning back now :)

Sleep: sleeping pretty good still

Best moment this week:  Spending lots of time with my family!  They have all had great boy’s  name suggestions :)  Jacob suggested Howard this week after a dragonfly that was on Dinosaur Train...thanks Jake but I think we'll pass on that one :)

Food cravings: no cravings yet….slowly getting my appetite back so maybe soon!

Anything making you queasy or sick: have thrown up brushing my teeth a few times lately…really, who does that?
Gender:  We are hoping for a happy, healthy baby!

Symptoms:  nausea is getting better….YEAH!!! Still pretty tired though.  Guessing that won’t go away any time soon!

Mother's Day

Our weeks have continued to be so busy.  I am ready for school to be out and summer to start!

Last Friday I went to watch a little bit of Eric's Field Day at school.  Field Day is very different from when Jim and I were in school.  There aren't any competitions or ribbons.  The kids go from station to station playing games with their class.  They had a lot of fun and it was HOT!

Sunday was Mother's Day.  Jim and the boys made me breakfast in the morning.  They bought me a new Vera purse and a beautiful hanging flower, that the boys picked out themselves!  Eric made me a gift at school with  a picture of himself holding a sign that says "My mom is...." and he wrote all the words to describe me around the picture.  It is so adorable!  He was so proud of his gift!!!

Later in the morning we went miniature golfing.  The boys did pretty well.  Jacob cheated most of the game...he would put his ball close to the hole then hit it in.  Eric even got a hole in one...without cheating :) 

After golfing we had lunch at Texas Roadhouse, then met Mom and Dad at Rita's in the afternoon and spent some time at the playground with the boys.  We ended the day with dinner at Mommom's with the fam.  It was a great day!

This week is Jacob's last week of school then Eric only has 4 more weeks!  I am so ready for our beach vacation!!!

How far along? 13 weeks
Maternity clothes?  Wearing them all the time….bought a new pair of shorts and 2 tops this week.

Sleep: sleeping very well

Best moment this week:  Being spoiled by my boys on Mother’s Day!

Miss Anything?  Still missing my allergy medicine!!!!
Movement:  hopefully I will start feeling some movement in the next couple of weeks

Food cravings: still not excited about food!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Still having trouble opening the fridge or dishwasher, but it's getting a little better some mornings.
Gender:  We are hoping for a happy, healthy baby!  Still trying to decide on a name if it's a boy....had fun throwing around names on Sunday with the fam
