Advent Activity Day 23- Watch the Polar Express

Advent Activity Day 24- Read the Christmas Story Luke 2: 1-20
We listened to a children's version of Jesus' birth at the Christmas Eve service at church.

On Christmas Eve Eric and Jacob played parts in our church's Children and Family Christmas Service.

Eric was a shepherd and Jacob was a wise man.

 After church we celebrated Christmas with Jim's family.

Lucas was so excited about his new train! 

Then it was time for our traditional gifts for the boys...Christmas pajamas and books.

Milk and Cookies for Santa, Magical Food for the Reindeer and Bedtime for the boys!

Christmas morning we were up by 7am.  The boys were finished opening in less than 10 minutes but were excited about what Santa had brought.

Lucas was most excited about his big brothers' new cups :)

Then we were off to Mommom Kolb's for lunch.

 We had a great Christmas!  Now it's time to find room for all the new stuff :)

Advent Activities Part 3 and Christmas Party Fun

Day 15- Read Santa's Favorite Story
one of my favorites... Santa tells the animals that Christmas would still happen even if there wasn't a Santa because Christmas isn't really about Santa at all.

Day 16- Make Christmas Cards

Day 17- Watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Day 18- Drive around and look at Christmas Lights
The McMillan Express.....PJs on, Hot Chocolate and a Christmas Treat  for the ride!

Day 19-Make Candy Cane bead ornaments for the tree.
Corinne and Alli joined in on the fun this morning before school.

 
Day 20- Bake Christmas Cookies for Santa.

Saturday night was the Kolb Christmas Party.

 Lucas did NOT like Santa!

Day 21- Deliver Christmas Cookies to the Garrison's next door.
The Garrisons were so happy to have visitors....the boys even helped put up their tiny Christmas tree because they haven't been feeling well enough to do it.  

Sunday afternoon we celebrated Christmas with Mom and Dad and Zach, Caitlin and Gabriel.

Advent Activities, Part 2

Day 9-Make Snowflakes
The boys loved doing this....we ended up with so many snowflakes!  They do look festive in the dining room though.

Day 10-Visit with Santa
We went to the mall to visit with Santa.  Eric and Jacob got to tell him what they wanted for Christmas.  We attempted a picture but Lucas wanted nothing to do with sitting on Santa's lap...and I didn't want to pay for a picture of a baby crying (as funny as it is...it's not worth $22!)  We did, however, take advantage of the boys wearing their Christmas shirts and got a good picture in front of the tree for our Christmas cards.

Day 11- Donate toys to a Toys for Tots bin.
Eric and Jacob's school is collecting toys for needy kids, so the boys each took in a toy to donate.  It was nice to do something for others.

Day 12-Family Game Night
We played a Christmas Themed Memory Game

Day 13- Christmas In Hershey
We had a great day!

Lucas got a Hershey's Cow

Jacob chose a Reese's Pieces Bear...with attached candy! 

Notice Jacob's blue mouth and fingers? it's from cotton candy!

 Eric picked a stuffed Reese's Peanut Butter Cup man...he wanted me to take a picture of him pretending to eat it.
